During the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, it is very important to take multiple precautions to limit exposure and prevent the spreading of this virus. There are actions expected of the caregivers of Prestige Homecare, LLC to help limit exposure.
Caregivers should stay home as much as possible. Unnecessary outings need to be limited. It is acceptable to travel back and forth to each job. If a personal outing is necessary, such as grocery shopping or refueling your vehicle, gloves are a requirement. Gloves must be worn at all times when in a public place. Face masks are also strongly suggested, but are not a requirement.
It is expected of caregivers to limit their contact with people, especially anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 or anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. If exposed, it is the caregiver’s responsibility to inform Cheryl Smith or Shirley Ellis of exposure.
When on the job, try to discourage client’s outings and visitors. If outings are required while on the job, practice the same safety as in your personal life. Wear gloves and preferably face masks. Encourage your client to also wear protective gear.
