We the undersigned nurses of Sky Lakes Medical Center sign on to this letter in support of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) proposal that Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) Executive Committee Members at Sky Lake has presented to the management team at Sky Lakes.  These proposals have been vetted and agreed upon by ONA in consultation with the organization’s legal, labor and practice departments.  We recognize that Sky Lakes has made good progress in voluntarily providing some of the provisions requested in the MOU. ONA would like to make these provisions a formal agreement between Sky Lakes and the nurses during this time of crisis. Nurses are on the front lines and need to feel reassured that their needs are being seen to, as they take on the care of the community under unprecedented risks and costs to themselves and their families.  We request that Sky Lakes management quickly respond to this MOU so that hardworking nurses can return to their direct care work, knowing that the system has their needs in mind.  Link to Proposal:  https://www.oregonrn.org/resource/resmgr/pmh/SKY_COVID-MOU-Prop-2020-03-3.pdf
