To help small businesses through the impact of COVID-19, the Cities of Clear Lake, Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, and the North Iowa Corridor EDC have launched the Small Business Recovery & Continuity Fund to companies as they face decreased revenue. The program is targeted at locally owned independent businesses with fewer than 25 employees who have experienced significant revenue decreases and business disruption.
Grants of up to $5,000 will be available to help retain employees and ensure business continuity or reopening when allowed. The grant can be deployed for a variety of uses, including mortgage/rent, utilities, working capital, etc.
The first step is to let us know how your business is being impacted by filling out this pre-application. North Iowa Corridor Economic Development staff will evaluate your information to determine eligibility, and help you identify the most appropriate support for you and your business. We strongly encourage you to first apply for the State and Federal programs available. You can find a program list at the Iowa Economic Development Agency website
Each grantee is limited to one grant per individual & business tax id. Eligibility is based on accurate and complete submission of request and submission of required documents.
