If you are a member of St. Isidore - Holy Family Parish and a follower of the principles and teachings of the Catholic Faith you are invited to apply for the following scholarships: at least one $1,000 scholarship in memory of Elmo and Ann Giffels and one $1,000 scholarship from the Laingsburg Knights of Columbus Council #12044.
In order to be eligible for the Giffels Scholarship, you must be attending or planning to attend junior college, trade school, vocational schools, or an apprenticeship. 4-year college applicants will also be considered. Applicants need not be a graduating high school senior.
In order to be eligible for the KofC Scholarship, you must be a 2024 graduating high school senior with a plan to pursue a two or four year college education starting this fall semester.
Please complete the attached application by filling in the requested information. All information will be kept confidential. It is expected that some applicants may complete this application with parent or guardian assistance. A one-page letter of introduction should be attached to the application. Please type or print all information including date and don’t forget to sign your application.
Submit your completed application to the St. Isidore parish office. Items to be included are as followings:
1. A letter of introduction.
2. The completed application.
3. A copy of your high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores.
4. Letters of recommendation.
The last day for accepting applications is Frisday, May 8, 2024 at 3:00 P.M.
All applicants will be notified by mail as to their status in the selection process. Scholarship checks will be issued upon receipt of a copy of your first tuition invoice from the institution you are attending.
