By fostering these kitten(s), I am committing to provide a loving and safe environment while caring for and attending to my foster(s) needs until they are adopted by Rescues Rock to a permanent home. Kittens will be available for adoption after they are spayed/neutered (when approximately eight weeks old) and are in good health.* This field is required.

I will assist in the adoption process by providing photos and video of my foster(s) to Rescues Rock/Kitten Critical* This field is required.

I understand that my underage kitten foster will be unvaccinated until 8 weeks old. I will not allow my foster to share bedding, toys or food dishes with other foster(s) or unvaccinated pets I may be caring for at the same time. I will contact Rescues Rock for advice regarding acclimating my foster to pets in the home. I will never leave my foster unattended with any other animals for any period of time.* This field is required.

I understand that fostered animals belong exclusively to Rescues Rock, and also understand that if I become unable to care for my foster(s) I will alert Rescues Rock with as much notice as possible so a new foster can be found.* This field is required.

Whenever possible, I will supply food, litter and other needed items for my foster(s). Rescues Rock will provide what I am not able to provide. I can submit the receipts for purchases I make for my foster(s) and receive a tax receipt. I will provide Rescues Rock seventy-two hours notice that supplies are needed during the Covid-19 Safer At Home Order.* This field is required.

When specific feeding instructions are not provided I will follow the following feeding protocol: Wet food will be offered at least three times per day to kittens. All kittens will be given a minimum of one whole 3 oz can, or half of a 5 oz can, at each meal (may differ for small kittens). For kittens over 6 weeks, a small bowl of dry food will be available unless otherwise specified. I will not use a self/free-feeder for food. If my foster(s) are not eating, I will notify Rescues Rock.* This field is required.

I understand that I must be an experienced bottle baby feeder who has fostered bottle babies for an LA City Shelter, NKLA Rescue Partner or a New Hope Rescue Partner in order to take on a neonatal bottle baby as a foster during this Kitten Critical campaign. I will provide a contact person to confirm this upon request. If am not a pre-approved, experienced bottle feeder, I will take in a weaned foster.* This field is required.

I will provide a clean bed, toys and scratching post/scratcher and will let Rescues Rock know if I need assistance with any of these items. I will supervise playtime where toys with strings and feathers, and other objects with small moving parts are accessible, as the ingestion of these objects could require serious medical intervention. I will scoop the litter box at least once per day, make sure clean fresh water is always available, and offer food as instructed.* This field is required.

I will keep my foster kitten(s) indoors at all times. They will not have access to unscreened windows, loose screens, doggie door, front door, etc... If for any reason my foster(s) gets out, I will alert Rescues Rock immediately. * This field is required.

I will always transport foster(s) in a secure carrier; if I don't have one I will get one from Rescues Rock. I will never carry my foster(s) in my hands/arms outside of my home.* This field is required.

I will bring my foster to a Rescues Rock approved veterinarian whenever requested and will advise immediately if I do not have transportation so that transportation can be otherwise arranged. I agree to administer any medications my foster(s) may need as instructed by Rescues Rock or a Rescues Rock veterinarian, and will not treat my foster kitten with anything that is not approved by Rescues Rock.* This field is required.

I understand that fleas can be part of fostering an animal, and agree to keep my foster(s) flea-free by bathing and flea-combing my foster. Fleas can cause a kitten to become severely anemic to the point of death, so I won't be shy and I will inquire with Rescues Rock if I am unfamiliar with bathing or flea-combing kittens, or need supplies. * This field is required.

I will alert Rescues Rock immediately if my foster(s) is not eating, has diarrhea, vomits, is bleeding, is lethargic, feels unusually warm or cold, has nasal or eye discharge, or shows any other abnormal symptoms that could require medical attention. I will follow Rescue's Rock's direction for in-home care or obtaining veterinary services.* This field is required.

I understand that all veterinary care must be pre-authorized by Rescues. Services obtained without authorization or at a non-Rescues Rock veterinary clinic may be my financial responsibility. If my foster(s) require medical attention, I will immediately alert Rescues Rock by phone or text.* This field is required.

I agree to hold harmless Rescues Rock, it's Board of Directors, its volunteers, all veterinary hospitals and veterinarians used by Rescues Rock and any other previous fosters for any pre-existing or subsequent illnesses, medical conditions, damage to property, pets and persons, and any and all other liability.* This field is required.
