  • Request a Membership Hold

    At the Y, we believe in cheering on your success- as well as sticking with you in the moments where you need a break. If your YMCA of Central Ohio membership has become burdensome for you due to extended travel, medical, or financial circumstances- you are able to place your membership on hold for up to 90 days, once per calendar year.
  • Hold Details: Membership Hold requests will be individually reviewed and processed each business day.

    If you have not yet drafted for the month you are in at the time you submit your request, you will be drafted once more with access to Y facilities for the remainder of the month. If you have already been drafted, you will not be drafted again. In both circumstances, your hold will be finalized and access paused as of the 1st of the following month. 

    Membership dues will automatically begin drafting when the Hold is scheduled to release.

    Note: There are third-party companies that falsely claim they can manage changes to your Y membership for a fee. These companies are not affiliated with the Y and often mislead individuals for profit. You never have to pay to change or cancel your membership.
