GREEN SCHOOLS SPEAKERS BUREAU
USGBC-LA has developed a Sustainability Fundamentals Speaker Presentation for elementary as well as middle and high school students that provides an overview of sustainability concepts with a focus on energy, water, waste, and more. This will be delivered by experienced volunteers from USGBC-LA’s member base of architects, engineers, contractors, and sustainability professionals who will also be asked to speak about their career path and inspiration to do this work.
Selected volunteers will participate in a train the trainer session so they are prepared to deliver the core Sustainability Fundamentals presentation as well as discuss careers in the industry.
USGBC-LA will also deliver this as webinars based on children’s age range and will record the content so that it can be available remotely at any time through USGBC-LA website.
