Welcome to The Soap Dispensary and Kitchen Staples' Online Ordering system! This is an interim ordering system while we build our webstore.
Please browse our menus (Soap, Food, DIY and Merchandise) to see all the many wonderful things that we offer and the format they come in. Everything is priced by a specific unit such as "per cup" or jar size. You are not required to order the exact amount listed on the menu. For example, if an item is sold per cup, you can request half a cup or multiple cups. Our minimum amount is 60 ml for soap products and 1 tablespoon (or 5 grams) for everything else. We may have an order limit on some products. Common limits will be listed below.
During this Coronvirus Pandemic, Vancouver Coastal Health does not permit us to handle customers' personal containers. To reduce waste, we are filling into paper bags and use reusable deposit containers which we will sanitize when you return them. All dry products are packaged in paper bags and moist products are packaged either in deposit glass jars or for larger quantities, in plastic pails. We will choose the most appropropriate options but if you have specific preferences, please indicate it in your order.
Fill out this form with as much details as possible. It will help us to expedit your request. When you press send, it will be put in the order that our system receives it. The volume of online orders are unpredictable and we ask for your patience while we fulfill your requests. Orders placed today will generally be ready between 2-4 days. If we are able to fulfill your order sooner, consider it a bonus!
We have CLOSED the option to add additional items to submitted online orders. This helps us to reduce further delays to processing orders. Please view below on how to add items in other ways.
If you have additions to make, you can do so in two ways:
1. Add additions WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR ORDER. We will be happy to grab them for you.
If your additions take time to fill, please allow our cashiers to help other customers while you wait and we will be happy to ring up your entire order together when your additions are filled.
2. PLACE A NEW ONLINE ORDER. It will be processed in the order that it was received by our team.
You may choose to pick up twice or we can keep your first order until the second is ready, so that you can pick up both at the same time.
These changes are necessary to help us expedite and reduce the online wait time. Thank you so much for your cooperation and continued support!
PICKING UP ORDERS:
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BAGS OR BOX to pick up your orders! We are running out of boxes to give to customers.
Orders typically take 2 - 4 days to fulfill. There are factors that may allow us to take less time or more time so either consider it a bonus if it is done sooner and have patience with our team if it takes longer.
We offer in-store and curbside pick-ups. Please wait for us to inform you that your order is ready for pick up before coming.
For in-store pick-ups, please line up outisde, on the Kitchen Staples side of the sidewalk. We allow only 1 person in at a time. If you have anything small you need to add, you can still line up in this line. Please be mindful of social distancing and to not block the sidewalk so that pedestrians can pass safely.
For curbside pick-ups, please call us when you arrive infront of the shop. We will process payment over the phone with a credit card and then bring your order outside for you. You can call our Order Pick-up line at 604-600-7408.
Please have patience with our team when you pick up your order. We need time to locate your order, gather anything potentially from the fridge or freezer and depending on your order, we may need to fill an item when you arrive. To ensure the best possible freshness when packing food items into paper bags, we leave some items such as chips, cheese, etc, to be filled when you arrive. It will add more wait time but we have found that it is the best way we can ensure we are giving you the best quality.
Please wash all containers and return them with their lids. When you are picking up an order, you may need to line up infront of the Kitchen Staples side to return you deposit containers inside our shop. We can refund you the deposit by cash or save it as a store credit to use on your next order. You may also choose to donate your deposit fee to our donation program to support local organizations doing important work in the realm of environmental stewardship and social justice and support in our community. We are in the process of selecting the next organizations to support for 2021.
