COVID-19 CHEF INITIATIVE
The initiative began a few days after quarantine went into full effect. In order for Chef Matt to continue his career, he began to create delicious and innovative recipes based on what you currently have in your pantry. Additionally, he also hosts virtual cooking classes.
The initiative was featured on The Today Show and was also listed in Food and Wine magazine. After two months, over 400 recipes have been sent out and over 100 households have participated in virtual cooking classes.
From the beginning, Chef Matt has made small monetary donations to individuals in the industry. He also donates some of the meals created during virtual cooking classes to those in the local community who have been affected by the pandemic.
