Each Paetow High School Marching Band Member will be fitted for and issued a Uniform and Accessories upon our receipt of the 2020 - 2021 Marching Band Uniform Contract which has been signed by the Marching Band Member and their parent or legal guardian.

Your Uniform ultimately will consist of the following components:

• Uniform: Jacket, Side Cape, Blue Undershirt, Jumpsuit
• Accessories: Shako Hat and Hat Box and Garment Bag

WEARER'S RESPONSIBILITY:

Read, understand, and strictly follow the complete user care responsibilities on the care label inside each Uniform garment and described herein.

1. Air dry all Uniform garments before zipping them up in the Garment Bag.
2. Drape the dry Uniform Pants on a hanger after each use, making certain that the leg creases are straight.
3. Drape the dry Uniform Jacket and Undershirt on a hanger after each use.
4. HANG UP the draped Uniform so that the neither the garments nor bag hit or pile up onto the floor.
5. Place a card with your name on it inside the left pocket of your Rain Coat and leave it there for the entire season.This helps us get it back to you if it gets inadvertently separated from your Uniform.

UNIFORM AND SHAKO HAT CARE DETAILS:

1. Do not wash unless you receive contact from the uniform team to do so.
2. To wash the uniform
   • Always wash light with light and dark with dark using non-chlorine detergent
   • Separate all uniform parts and do not mix when washing
   • Always wash on cold setting in washer and dryer - ABSOLUTELY NO HEAT d. Wash at less than 1/2 capacity in washer and dryer
   • NEVER USE FABRIC SOFTENER
   • NEVER USE A HOT IRON OR PRESS
   • Do examine the Uniform components after each use for damage, soiling, stains, and to empty pockets, etc.
   • Do examine the Uniform for any signs of damage (such as loose buttons or other closures, loose hem, tears,etc.) and ask the professional dry cleaner to repair the issue for you (expense is borne by the student/family).
   • Communicate immediately if any damage is found

UNIFORM & ACCESSORY REPLACEMENT COSTS

The Paetow High School Band will use the following schedule in replacing any Uniform or Accessory component should it be lost, retained by the student/family, damaged, etc. at the School District’s sole discretion and judgment. Additionally, the School District will assess a fee to recover any and all cleaning and repair costs incurred relative thereto.

2. Jumpsuit - $75
3. Undershirt - $50
4. Side Cape - $55
5. Shako - $50
6. Shako Wrap - $25

As a Member of the Paetow High School Marching Band you will be fitted for and issued a Uniform and Accessories upon our receipt of the Marching Band Uniform Contract which has been signed by you and your parent / legal guardian.

The Uniform and Accessories belong to the Katy Independent School District and are entrusted to you (and your parent or legal guardian) for use during the 2020 marching band season. The wearing of this Uniform is a privilege and with that privilege comes the responsibility of proper care and respect for the uniform. It is expected that you will meticulously care for and maintain the uniform by following all of the care requirements previously described.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND AGREEMENT

We hereby acknowledge that we have read and understand the Paetow High School Marching Band Uniform Contract. We understand that proper care for and use of the assigned Uniform is our responsibility and that any loss and/or damage for any reason during my use and retention of the Uniform and Accessories is our sole financial responsibility and liability.

It is further understood that all Uniform articles are issued and recorded by identification number. The same numbered Uniform articles that are issued to you must be returned cleaned and in good condition or we must pay a Uniform Cleaning and Replacement Fee to the Katy Independent School District.
