We are committed to providing all of our patients with exceptional care. Due to a high demand for appointments, when a client cancels without giving advance notice, they prevent another patient from being seen. For this reason, Shaffer Animal Hospital and G.O.D.O.G.S. maintains a cancellation policy. In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time will be reallocated to someone who is in need of treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance.
A “no-show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patient’s chart as a “no-show”. This includes arriving 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment.
The first time there is a “no-show” or late cancellation there will be no charge to the client as a courtesy, because we understand unforeseen circumstances happen sometimes. A second occurrence will result in a required deposit of the cost of service, to ensure you are committed to providing care for your pet . The non-refundable deposit will go toward the cost of your visit. If you do not arrive on time for your appointment or cancel in less than 24 hour notice, the deposit will be forfeited. The third occurrence may result in a termination of our professional relationship
