COVID-19: Internal Desert Aid Volunteer Form
Thank you for your interest in volunteer with us! The following form is to help us organize incoming volunteer requests. Note that this form is for internal volunteers. Send our volunteer coordinator a signal message if you have any questions: 520-307-7379.
Timeline for Requests:
It may take us a week or two to get back to you with a response and there is an on-boarding process of 1-3 weeks before you can go to the desert. Please consider this information and align your request accordingly.

Month long Volunteer (spent 4+ weeks or whole ML program, but haven't been back since then)
Returning Out-Of-Town Volunteer/ Facilitator (spent 4+ weeks or whole ML program and have been back to since camp, lives outside of Southern Arizona)
Returning Local Volunteer/ Facilitator (lives in Southern Arizona and has experience holding down camp, but has not done it in a while)
Day Trip Volunteer (currently lives in Southern Arizona and has attended a New Volunteer training. Involved with day trips water drops)
NMD Non-Desert Aid Volunteer (involved with a working group outside of DAWG: Finance, Northern Mexico, SAR, KTT, Abuse Doc, Logistics)
Water Drop Household Volunteer (lives with someone who is a NMD volunteer and participate in waterdrops with NMD housemate)

We are asking out-of-town volunteers to quarantine for two weeks once they arrive to Tucson (needs to happen somewhere that is not the vol house). Is this something you are willing to do? For local volunteers, please read the Risk Assessment Document to determine timeline for you to come to camp. Please share more about your social distancing practices (high, moderate, low-risk). Would you need to stay at the volunteer apartment?
For BIPOC return volunteers: would it be helpful to receive a stipend for facilitating? NMD may be able to provide a stipend from $50/day, up to $500/month. (The BIPOC working group will review your reques and will get back to you ASAP).
