• Virtual Tour of A Wildness Distant from Ourselves: Art and Ecology in 19th-Century America

    Wednesday, May 6, 1:00 pm
  • Join Gordon Wilkins, Robert M. Walker Associate Curator of American Art, on Zoom for a virtual tour of the Addison Gallery of American Art exhibition A Wildness Distant from Ourselves: Art and Ecology in 19th-Century America.

Wilkins will lead participants through the digital three-dimensional walkthrough created in February by Phillips Academy student Dongcheng Han, class of 2023, and discuss the complex histories and persistent impacts of the 19th-century European American relationship with the natural world.

This program is free, but space is limited so advance signup is required. We plan to make a recording of the virtual tour available soon afterwards.
