This grant is intended to provide flexible funding to support small businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19 and to assist them in post-COVID recovery. Priority is given to smallest and most vulnerable retail, food, personal service and entertainment businesses, which have fewer opportunities for support from other sources. All applicant financial information will be kept strictly confidential but is required to document the need for this program and proper use of funds by Dundalk Renaissance to the funder.
Awarded grant funds will be applied directly to the payment of outstanding bills for expenses incurred in operating your business since March 1, 2020 and though June 30, 2021.
Funds may be used for:
· Operating Expenses including business utility bills, insurance, equipment and payroll.
· Business Lease or Rent payments on an HDTC business location.
· Capital improvements to aid in social distancing and safety.
. Cost of expired merchandise.
Funds may NOT be used for: personal expenses, faith-based institutions, liquor stores, or adult entertainment. Recipients of funding in the first round of this grant may not receive funding for the same expenses covered under that round. Dundalk Renaissance has a Commercial Improvement Grant program that may support additional capital improvements (defined as physical improvements to your business lasting more than 15 years – ask us!).
Your business is eligible if:
· You are located within the boundaries of the Historic Dundalk Town Center
· You can prove you are in Good Standing with the State of Maryland
