  • Anyone who submits a form should be aware that in accordance with the North Carolina Public Records law, found in North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 132, their e-mail address is considered public record.

    PERMIT SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS

    The following documents must be provided in order to successfully complete this form. Submittals must include appropriate fire permit application and requirements (no exceptions). 

    • Completed Fire System Permit application
    • Required Plan Documents
      • Fire Permit descriptions, requirements, exceptions, review fees and inspection fees can be found on Fire Permit Plan Reviews website. 

    REQUIREMENTS FOR REQUESTING A REVISION TO AN EXISTING PLAN

    • Completed Fire System Permit application
    • Required Plan Documents
    • Provide the Plan Number for the existing plan
  • To submit a new fire permit or make a revision to an existing fire permit plan (plan numbers 2021-3000 through 2023-9999), click the Go to Plan Review & Tracking button below.

    Next Steps for completing Fire Permit Application 

    1. Go to the Fire Permit Plan Review website
    2. Click the applicable fire permit application link to download the document.
    3. Open the document and complete the permit application document and then SAVE the document.
    4. Next, you will need to merge all documents (permit application, plans, supplemental documents, etc) into one single document.
    5. When steps 1-4 are complete, you will return to this online form to submit the single Fire Permit Application document you prepared in step 4.

    Payments must be received before plans will be added to the review queue. Online payment is currently in development. When online payment is available it will show up as the 3rd way to pay.

  • When the plan has been reviewed you will be notified via the email address on your permit application.
    Average plan review times are 10-15 business days.
