Cabrillo College Engineering Abroad Program 2020-21
Selection of participants: Approximately ten (10) students and two (2) alternates will be selected as participants in the 2019-20 abroad program. Alternates are our bridge from one year to the next. Alternates will automatically be a delegate during the 2021-22 Abroad Program. Minimum Eligibility Requirements for Applicants: Applicant must be registered as an engineering major at Cabrillo College; Applicants must be a full-time student during the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters advancing in your required transfer coursework; Applicants must have completed ENGR 5 and possibly ENGR 25 (if it is required for your major) by the end of the Fall 2019 semester; Applicants must have completed at least 30 units of lower division engineering major core courses (math, physics, chemistry, computer science, and engineering) by the end of the Fall 2019 semester; Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in overall as well as in the major core courses; Applicants must be 18 years of age or older; .Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent U.S. resident with a valid passport or permanent U.S. resident or an international student with an embassy/consulate/interest section of your country in the abroad country....contact Anna Zagorska with any questions, anzagors@cabrillo.edu Other Selection Criteria (but not limited to): Service to Cabrillo student organizations or non-Cabrillo community organizations; Past and current leader positions held; Communication and interpersonal skills; Language skills; Engineering experience either through work or extra-curricular activities; Interest in sustainability; Interest in engineering as a helping profession; Interest in learning about engineering being a global profession
