Thank you for interest in Level Path Ministries’ conciliation services. It is our goal to help people resolve conflicts in a cooperative rather than an adversarial manner. The conciliation process is based on biblical principles that promote understanding, responsibility, justice and reconciliation.
1. Description of Services. Conciliation services seek to address immediate conflicts as well as identifying and addressing systemic issues contributing to current conflicts. We provide conflict coaching to help individuals explore ways to resolve disputes personally and privately. We also provide mediation, an informal process in which one or more mediators meet with all of the parties involved in a conflict to facilitate a conversation to resolve their issues in a mutually satisfactory manner.
2. Fees. John Richardson’s fees are $125 per hour for conflict coaching, mediation and case management.
3. Not Legal Representation. Conciliation may be used to resolve legal disputes. Even so, conciliators do not provide people with the kind of legal advice and advocacy they would obtain if they hired a personal attorney. Instead of representing one person against another, your conciliator will help all parties arrive at a mutually satisfying agreement. If you are concerned about your legal rights, you should consult with an independent attorney who would be willing to accompany and advise you during the conciliation process.
4. Our Commitment to Confidentiality. Confidentiality is an important aspect of the conciliation process, and we will carefully guard the information you entrust to us. To ensure that you are receiving consistent counsel and support, however, we may need to be able to discuss your situation with your attorney, if you have one. Furthermore, we may need to divulge information to appropriate civil authorities if there is a clear indication that someone might otherwise be harmed.
5. Your Commitment to Confidentiality. You too must agree not to discuss our communications with people who do not have a necessary interest in the conciliation process. In addition, you must agree to treat all dealings with us in regard to this dispute as settlement negotiation, which means they will be inadmissible in a court of law for legal discovery. You must agree not to make audio or video recordings of any conciliation conversations. Furthermore, you must agree that you will not try to force any conciliator to divulge any information acquired during conciliation or to testify in any legal proceeding related to this dispute.
6. Rules of Procedure. You have received a copy of the Rules of Procedure for Christian Conciliation of the Institute of Christian Conciliation, which are incorporated into this agreement by reference and which you agree to follow.
7. Conciliation Clause. I agree that any dispute with Level Path Ministries LLC or John Richardson arising from or relating to this agreement shall be settled by mediation and, if necessary, legally binding arbitration in accordance with the Rules and Procedures for Christian Conciliation promulgated by the Institute of Christian Conciliation. I agree that judgment upon an arbitration decision may be entered into any court of competent jurisdiction. I agree that these methods shall be my sole remedy and expressly waive my right to file a lawsuit in any civil court for any claim arising out of or in any way related to this agreement, except as necessary to enforce an arbitration decision.
If you have any questions about these terms, please call John Richardson at 314.625.6064 or email jhnrich40@yahoo.com.
