- Toby’s Rescue LLC (Toby’s Rescue) and the Foster Family (Foster) agree to the following:

- 1. The Foster Dog will be referred to by its assigned name for the accuracy of record keeping, social media, veterinary appointment, etc. Foster shall not change the name and will not call the foster dog by any other name.

- 2. The Foster understands and agrees that the Foster Dog is the property of Toby's Rescue. The Foster does not have any ownership of the Foster Dog and all such rights remain with Toby's Rescue until adoption.

- 3. The Foster will be responsible for the basic care costs associated with the Foster Dog to include, but not limited to food, treats, bedding and toys. Supplies can be borrowed from Toby’s Rescue. A refundable deposit of $50 is required for borrowing supplies for your foster. The deposit will be reimbursed upon return of supplies.

- 4. If the Foster becomes unable to care for the Foster Dog, the Foster agrees to communicate this immediately to Toby's Rescue so that arrangements can be made for the Foster Dog to be re-homed.

- 5. Once the Foster Dog is in the care of the Foster, the Foster agrees to allow Toby's Rescue to visit the home at any time with notice to ensure that the terms of this contract are being kept.

- 6. The Foster understands that the Foster Dog is to be kept indoors as a family pet and given proper shelter, regular exercise and veterinary care if needed.

- 7. The Foster agrees to keep the Foster Dog’s collar (with rabies tag and ID tag) on at all times and to keep the Foster Dog securely leashed whenever outdoors. The Foster may be off-leash only in a securely fenced-in yard under the Foster’s supervision.

- 8. The Foster agrees to provide the Foster Dog with basic training (basic manners, house-training and crate-training) when possible.

- 9. If the Foster uses the services of a dog daycare facility or dog walker, the cost will be covered by the Foster.

- 10. The Foster understands that they are responsible for the safety of the Foster Dog and for other dogs and people that the Foster Dog may come into contact with.

- 11. In the event that the Foster Dog becomes lost, Foster will immediately contact Toby's Rescue.

- 12. The Foster agrees to contact Toby's Rescue before making any veterinary appointments. Otherwise, the cost of the visit will be the responsibility of the Foster. The Foster may not make any legal or medical decisions on behalf of the Foster Dog and will consult with Toby's Rescue to discuss the vet’s recommendations. The Foster agrees to give the Foster Dog any medications or treatments as required.

- 13. The Foster agrees to send weekly photos and video and updates to be used by Toby's Rescue to promote the dog on social media and the Toby's Rescue web page. The Foster agrees to participate in actively promoting the Foster Dog by attending adoption events. If the Foster is unable to attend an adoption event a Toby's Rescue representative may make other arrangements for the Foster Dog to attend.

- 14. The Foster agrees to participate in ‘meet and greets’ with potential adopters. They agree to provide Toby's Rescue with feedback about the ‘meet and greet’ which will be used for purposes of approving an adoption. All final decisions regarding a Foster Dog’s adoption rest with Toby's Rescue. ‘Meet and greets’ can be held in the Foster’s home or in a public place.

- 15. Toby's Rescue makes every effort to accurately assess each sato. However, Toby's Rescue cannot guarantee the Foster Dog’s age, health, behavior or disposition. Toby's Rescue agrees to offer advice and consultation with a training and behavior specialist should the need arise.

- 16. The Foster agrees to abide by all of the foster conditions and fully understands that Toby's Rescue may repossess the Foster dog at any time if these conditions are violated or the animal is mistreated in any way

- 17. The Foster agrees to release Toby’s Rescue from any liability and agrees to assume responsibility for all risks associated with fostering a dog, including damage to property, people or other pets which may arise while fostering.
