Today would have been our 9th anniversary.
Normally it would have been a day of celebration but these are different times.
I am grateful for the 9 years we celebrated together but honestly the last 1-2 years I have felt different.
I have felt a bit lost.
Like I was no longer doing my best.
I see our Biergarten that we built together and it looks like it has seen better days.
It looks like it is past its "prime".
It looks like, somehow, we forgot that we are the #1 German Restaurant in America!!
If you felt that way, I am sorry.
I believe somewhere along the way I got tired...
Maybe I got old?
Maybe I lost my passion?
Maybe I started taking it for granted...
During this shutdown I have had a lot of time to think.
I have had a lot of time to reflect.
What do I want to do with my life?
What is really important to me?
What will my legacy be?
Maybe you have done the same... If not, give it a try.
I believe you will find PEACE and ANSWERS.
So I decided it was time for a change!
It was time to make a decision.
I know who I am and who we, as "King's Biergarten," are.
I have decided to take the chance and make it all happen again.
We will not close.
We will not let our employees go.
We will honor them, support them, and lift-up our community.
I have decided to spend every penny I have to make the Biergarten beautiful again.
** I am proud to say we are remodeling and renovating our location. **
We have a brand new bar.
We now have 36 Biers on draft.
We have a new interior.
We have a new indoor dining room.
We will soon have a new sign.
We will soon have a new parking lot.
And most proudly....
I have found my passion again and we are working on a brand new menu.
This is not a time for fear.
This is not a time of contraction.
This is a time for expansion.
This is a time of support.
This is a time for community, for love, and for togetherness.
We MUST support each other.
Let me tell you just one thing....
We will be back.
We will be better than ever.
I hope to see you all again.
