JG Wolfdogs Puppy Application

We know many families have two working adults and we don't expect anyone to be a super hero and quit a day job just to be able to take home a puppy.

Every puppy family has different needs, and this information form helps us identify who needs what information and what homes might make the best fit. If you're a veteran dog/wolfdog owner, we don't want to waste your time regaling things you already know; by the same token, if this is your first puppy or first wolfdog, we want to make sure you leave prepared for what life with a puppy may bring.

  Pick up in person is Preferable.
- Wolfdogs and Northern breeds are known to be destructive and Escape Artists. Are you prepared for the responsibility of keeping your puppy contained and provide proper mental and physical stimulation?

- Wolfdogs also need proper socialization most of their lives. It is very critical they form a positive bond with you and members of the house within the first few weeks they come home. Do you understand that negative training and reinforcement can cause your pup to lose trust in you and cause unwanted behaviors?
- Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from JG Wolfdogs, but it does not guarantee I'll get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.
  
  APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: I will review applications within 2 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your home is a good fit, I'll notify you. If approved a deposit contract will be sent to you to fill out and return. Please make this deposit within 48 hours of the approval e-mail. If you make a deposit, you are committing to take a puppy from the litter, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available. We do our best to match everyone to their preference.
  
  YOUR PICK OF PUPPY: Puppies will be assigned in deposit order by the first or second preference of the depositor as indicated on the application. If neither of your choices are available, you may elect another puppy from the litter. We ask that you make a choice within 24 hours of notification since there may be other families waiting for a chance to choose. Should you elect to not take a puppy from the litter, the deposit is forfeited and the deposit applied to the costs of the deposit applied to finding the puppy another home. It can be forwarded to an upcoming litter if approved by us. You should discuss both the deposit policies and pick of litter policies with us if you have any questions or concerns.
  
  GOING HOME: We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please know puppies cannot be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations and their rabies vaccination which cannot be done until 3 months of age.
  
  CONTRACT: We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.
  
  SPAY/NEUTER: We do not require spay/neuter at or before 18 months. If you choose to S/N please do so at maturity, if you can responsibly keep your pup from breeding until then. Any puppy from our home always has a home here, and will never experience the fear and burden of life at a shelter or sanctuary.
  
  REGISTRATION PAPERS/DNA Testing: Our family companions do not come with registration papers to any registry as Wolfdogs cannot be registered. We do however provide a 3 generation lineage “pedigree” with results for both parents Embark DNA results.
