- Our clinic will send an SMS reminder for follow up appointment time.
- Billing purposes, including compliance with Medicare and Health Insurance Commission requirements and for Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO) transactions. A MOTO transaction is a card-not-present transaction, whereby you give us your credit card details over the phone or online to process a payment. By signing this privacy policy, you authorise all MOTO transactions to Strathfield Retina Clinic.
- Disclosure to others involved in your health care, including treating doctors and specialists outside this medical practice. This may occur through referral to other doctors, or for medical tests and in the reports or results returned to us following the referrals. Images and correspondence may be sent via post, fax, secure messaging (Healthlink) or email. If necessary, we will discuss this with you.
- Research purposes: Only anonymous information may be used for statistical and evaluative purposes. Findings from your scans or test results may be published anonymously in scientific journals and presented at academic conferences.
- Teaching purposes: Only anonymous information may be used.
