What They Do:
At-Promise Center is a youth and community center in the Vine City/English Avenue neighborhood, which is located only 1.5 miles from our campus and has among the highest poverty rates in our city. At-Promise was formed by the Atlanta Police Foundation to provide opportunities for education, job training, and community engagement for at-risk youth. At-Promise Center distributes food to those in need within the neighborhood.
What We Can Do:
Donate food. They need canned goods and other non-perishable items such as canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned meats, pasta, rice, hamburger helper, soup, peanut butter, cereal, dried beans, boxed potato or rice dishes, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products. Important food/food gift card delivery instructions: Place food and other items in bags clearly marked with the organization name. Deliver to All Saints’ any Wednesday in May from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The sextons will put two barrels out by the glass doors between Ellis Hall and the Parish House (on the parking lot side of the building). They will go and check them throughout the day. If it is raining, the barrels will be in the parking deck.
