Disclaimer
This form is to acknowledge that Dr. Nicholas Araza, DC, and his team at Posture Coach are providing counsel for the intent and purpose of improving posture and ergonomic workstation setup and are not treating any specific conditions.
By improving your workstation posture many people experience an overall feeling of improved energy and wellbeing as well as a reduction in pain and symptoms. However, any exercise recommendations and posture education are not to be confused with a specific diagnosis from an in-person physical examination nor a treatment for a specific condition.
Due to the nature of body posture change, temporary discomfort is often expected and anticipated. However, this discomfort should not be an exacerbation of any current symptoms but more of a therapeutic muscle sensitivity during the initial postural changes. These feelings can be intense at first, and typically reduces over time as you get used to the new setup and as your posture improves.
It is also important to distinguish between invasive (damaging) pain and therapeutic (productive) discomfort. It is important to communicate if any invasive and/or electrical/shooting pain is felt from any new setup provided. Although incredibly rare, if any invasive pain is felt it is expected that you will stop the new setup and immediately communicate that information to your Posture Coach.
Any worsening of any condition should be communicated with the subject line “worsening condition” via email as soon as possible.
The biggest factors in creating the positive results we get with our client’s posture and wellbeing are consistency and accuracy, so please make sure you understand the recommendations and follow/perform them regularly!
