STEP CE Articles are online courses and appear in AMT’s Pulse magazine. Submit articles on topics relevant to AMT certificants.

 

Submission Guidelines 

• Submissions must be original authorship and never published previously
• Word count must be between 2,000 and 2,500 words
• All images must be copyright free and in jpg or EPS format, and at least 300 dpi
• Articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word format
• All quotes, facts, figures, graphs, or material from another source must be properly and completely referenced in American Psychological Association (APA) format
• You must include a 10-question quiz that meets the guidelines outlined below

All submissions are reviewed and considered, but not guaranteed to be published.

 

Quiz Guidelines

You must include a 10-question quiz with your article submission that meets the following guidelines:

• Include the correct answer either highlighted or as an answer key
• Do not use more than three true/false questions
• Multiple choice questions should have four choices
• Do not use “all of the above” or “none of the above” as answer choices
• Do not ask negative questions, i.e. “which of the following is NOT...”
• Answers to the questions must be found in the article
• The answer key must be included with quiz submission
• Submitted files must be in Microsoft Word

 

Reference Guidelines

All quotes, facts, figures, graphs, and material must be referenced in American Psychologial Assocation (APA) format. The article must include both in text citations and a a compiled list of all references at the end. Articles not following the proper format or not including references, will be returned for revisions.

Word Count

STEP CE Articles must be between 2,000 and 2,500 words. Articles more than 2,500 words are at risk of not being accepted and may potentially be returned for revision. Articles less than 2,000 words may be returned for additional detail.

I, the undersigned author whose title is written above, (the “Article”), hereby transfer my, and all other co-author’s copyright in the Article to AMT. In so doing, I affirm that:

The Article is an original work of authorship and that I (and my co-authors, if any) hold the copyright thereto.

The Article has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration for publication by a publisher other than AMT.

Except for brief excerpts (i.e., see paragraph #5 below), the Article contains no material that is not of my own devising.

If the Article contains a small amount of previously published material (such as a quotation, figure, or table), permission to republish this material has already been obtained in writing from the copyright holder, and a copy of that permission is enclosed herewith.

I further agree that the AMT shall have the right to edit the Article in any manner that it in its sole judgment may deem expedient, including the right to condense, expand, revise, rewrite, or retitle the Article, and to publish it or not. I understand that I will be able to see and correct a galley or similar proof of the Article prior to publication.
