Each person who is a non-employee who enters United Way Fresno and Madera Counties (UWFM) premises or participates in any activity or project related to United Way business is responsible for safeguarding confidential information obtained during the time spent on or off premises for such activities and projects.
In the course of time spent in this manner, there may be access to confidential information regarding United Way Fresno and Madera Counties, its vendors, agencies, clients, donors, community members, employees and/or volunteers. It is the responsibility of each non-employee to observe and protect the confidentiality of any such information.
Access to confidential information should be on a “need-to-know” basis and shall be authorized by UWFM management only. Any breach of this Policy will not be tolerated. Appropriate action, including legal action and loss of access to the UWFM premises, will be taken by United Way Fresno and Madera Counties.
