ACSI Certification
The Teacher At RCS states:
23.* New teachers agree to apply for an ACSI teaching certificate by May 1. Once this certificate has been received, the teacher agrees to keep it current and upgrade its status as required by ACSI. The Superintendent must approve any exception to this policy. A certified copy is to be kept in the teacher's personnel file.
24. Teachers agree to maintain the ACSI teaching certificate and California teaching credential (if applicable). It is the teacher's professional responsibility to understand and complete renewal requirements well ahead of the expiration date. Failure to renew credentials and certificates will result in a reduction of compensation until certified copies are provided to the District Office.
*Part-time teachers are expected to meet these standards with reduced responsibilities as determined at time of hire and renewal.
Because RCS pays faculty to maintain ACSI Certification each month, RCS does not reimburse for the ACSI Certification fee.
If you HAVE NOT applied for ACSI Renewal Certification and it has lapsed you will be receiving a payroll dedication of $83.50 per paycheck (if paid over 12 months) or $100 per paycheck (if paid over 10 months) starting in the next pay period. After recieving verification of your ACSI Renewal Certification, RCS will add either the $83 per paycheck (if paid over 12 months) or $100 per paycheck (if paid over 10 months) to your payroll beginning the next pay period.
