• Introduction

Hello Faculty New to RCS!!!  Thank you for everything that you are doing in service to the kids that God has called into your classroom.  My continual prayer for you this year is that you find favor with God, your students, parents, and colleagues.

Today the District Office started our annual review of personnel files checking for TB, First Aid, ACSI Certification, and College-level Bible Units.

The purpose of this form is to make sure that our records match what you a have already done.  We need to be as accurate as possible.

Please complete this form by Monday, January 11, 2021.

    In Christ,

    Al Hearne II, PhD

  • 9 College-level Bible Units Required by The End of Year 7

The Teacher at RCS #19 states, "Teachers are required to have accumulated nine semester hours of college-level Bible classes by the end of their seventh year of teaching at RCS. RCS will pay up to the amount charged by the Northern California Bible College, with 3 units required by end of year 2, 6 units required by the end of year 4, and 9 units required by the end of year 7. Failure to meet each deadline will result in a $1,000 reduction in pay. A Contract will not be issued for the 5th year unless the teacher has earned at least 3 units. A Contract will not be issued for the 8th year unless the teacher has earned at least 6 units."

This means you need to have completed:

    • at least 3 College-level Bible Units Completed by August 1, 2023
    • at least 6 College-level Bible Units Completed by August 1, 2025
    • at least 9 College-level Bible Units Completed by August 1, 2028

Only courses from New Testament Writings, Old Testament Writings, and Theological Studies will be accepted to meet this requirement.  See the NCBC Course Catalog.  I recommend NT101 New Testament Survey (page 38), OT101 Old Testament Survey (page 39), and 301 Systematic Theology 1 or Biblical Theology 1 (page 42).  These three classes provide a very good college level overview of the Bible and it's foundational beliefs.  If the previous link did not work, here is the actual URL: https://ncbc.net/s/Catalogue-2021.pdf

  • ACSI Certification

The Teacher at RCS #20 states, "New teachers agree to apply for an ACSI teaching certificate by October 1. Once this certificate has been received, the teacher agrees to keep it current and upgrade its status as required by ACSI. Any exception to this policy must be approved by the Superintendent. A certified copy is to be kept in the teacher’s personnel file."

If you HAVE NOT applied for ACSI Certification, it's time for you to apply.
