COVID Diaries: the quarantine projects
Umpqua Valley Arts is creating a digital collection of images, essays, drawings, photos, video's, etc. that were made in quarantine. They will be shown in a virtual exhibit called COVID-19 Diaries: the quarantine projects.
Whether you are an artist/professional or not, everyone is eligible to submit. You must be 18 years or older to submit. Single images of artworks (drawings, collages, prints, sculptures), photos, photo sequences, text (essays, poetry, etc.), video and audio submissions are all welcome.
From the community staying behind closed doors, to sewing face masks, to our local healthcare workers and grocery clerks who’ve worked tirelessly to provide needed support and supplies, our communities have banded together to get through this with the least amount of infections as possible.
Staying safe and staying at home during this period of quarantine gave many of us time to spend with our immediate families, our creative projects, etc. We want to know and document what you've been thinking about, what's important to you and what you've been making! We can't wait to see what you've done, so we can document this historical time.
Thank you for being you!
