Free to Love Music Studio Policies

Tuition is paid monthly by the 2nd of each month. A late fee of $15 is automatically applied, if tuition is not paid by the 9th of the month (this late fee is charged per family not per student.)

Although tuition is paid monthly, it is not calculated by weekly lesson. Your monthly tuition rate is the same each month even though some months are longer. Tuition is base on enrollment not attendance. If a student starts lessons in the middle of the month we will prorate for the number of lessons remaining before the beginning of the first full month.

We accept cash, credit card, zelle, paypal, checks, and cash app

There is a $15 fee for any returned checks, in addition to any bank charges incurred.

Free to Love Music Studio reserves the right to dismiss any student due to disciplinary problems, overdue tuition payments, and/or parental noncompliance with Free to Love Music Studio policies.

If you are tardy to your lesson, you forfeit that part of your lesson and the lesson will NOT be extended. For online students, please sign into your meeting ID three minutes before the start of your lesson, and if there are technical difficulties we will handle them case-by-case basis.

There are no makeups for any missed lessons, nor will a tuition refund/credit be given. However, the studio at its discretion, may offer courtesy makeup lessons based on schedule openings. In order to receive a courtesy make up lesson, a parent/student must call, text, or email the studio 16 hours before cancelled lesson or ASAP for unforeseen emergencies. If an instructor is absent, you will receive a full makeup lesson at a time convenient for you and the instructor. Makeups are also given for bad weather days. There are no lessons on the following holidays: Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.

There is no long-term contract. To discontinue lessons please submit via email a letter stating your withdrawal by the 15th of the month prior to the 1st of the next month. For instance, if you plan to end lessons in May then submit a written notice by April 15th. If no notice is given then you the parent/student are responsible for the next full month’s tuition.

Free to Love Music Studio offers 3 types of lessons: online via zoom.us, in person (student comes to the instructor), and at home (instructor goes to the student). As of right now all lessons are private one on one with the instructor. Parents/Guardians are welcomed to sit in lessons. Lessons are held once a week at the same day and time each week.There is a $25 registration fee due per student at sign up to hold class spots. You will pay one flat rate per month. For instance, in the case when you have 5 lessons in a month the rate is the same as when you have 4 lessons in a month. The extra lesson you get in a 5 week month, will balance out absences/missed lessons.

Free to Love Studio has the right to change rates at anytime. Parents and students will be notified immediately if or when rates do change. For at home lessons, additional fees are added to the above rates do to instructor traveling. The additional fee is based upon the distance being traveled.

Students need to have a piano or keyboard at home for practicing. For online lessons students need to have a strong Internet connection and some sort of device for video feed. Books are not included in tuition. Prior to the first lesson the instructor will go over what books need to be purchased and where they can be purchased. Expect to spend no more than $50 a year per student on books.
