We are excited to see you and service your haircare needs. We believe it is important to be transparent about our salon policies, pricing, and to ensure we are all on the same page prior to your arrival. We may have made some updates since last time you saw us, or this may all be new to you. Thank you for taking the time to view our policies. This allows our team to focus on an excellent expierience for you on the day of your service as well as protect the boundries and safety of our team.

We respect and embrace our clients different personalities. All of our stylists will talk during your consultation, and if there is anything you need to know relating to hair, but how would you prefer for your stylist to interact with you during your appointment?*

I would prefer as much silence during my appointment as possible.I like a little conversation, but not the whole appointment.I look forward to socializing and talking to my stylist during almost all of my appointments.I am comfortable letting my stylist know if I am feeling like talking or not on the day of my appointment.

I have reviewed the menu of services on Lumine's website, as well as my stylists hourly pricing, and specialties. I understand all services booked after 1/25/22 or rescheduled after 1/25/22 will be booked under the hourly pricing model. If I need to modify my appointment, I will contact Lumine at least 48 hrs in advance.*

I understand that I will be charged 50% of my booked service if I do not cancel my pre-booked appointment within a 24 hours of my scheduled appointment, and I will be charged 100% of the total booked service if I cancel in less than 3 hours of my appointment time, no show, or arrive too late after the start of my appointment for my stylist to complete my scheduled service .*

I understand that my stylist charges by the hour for all services booked. I understand that these prices are based on time not for specific ala carte hair services. I understand my stylist will do their best to meet my hair needs within the time frame booked and budget I have allocated, but I understand I may need to book for a longer time, or add a follow up appointment/s at my stylists hourly rate to achieve my hair goals.*

I understand Lumine does not allow me to bring children with me to my appointment/s. If my child has a scheduled appointment I agree to supervise them or make arrangements to have the child supervised during their entire appointment if they need assistance.*

I will arrive with clean, detangled hair for color services or dry haircut services. I will not arrive with hair that has been in a ponytail or bun if I am scheduled for a dry haircut service.*

ALLERGIC REACTIONS: While rare, some clients may experience allergic reactions to certain color lines and hair products. If you suspect that you have allergies to certain products/chemicals, or have skin sensitivities, please notify your stylist or a member of our desk team prior to you color appointment, so that we may arrange a patch test for you in advance. Patch tests must be requested. Lumine Salon is not responsible for damages that occur as a result of an allergic reaction, and will not provide refunds or reimbursements. By acknowledging this policy and signing below, you agree to assume responsibility for any allergic reactions (chemical and non-chemical) to products or color, and will not hold the salon or salon employees responsible or liable for any adverse reactions that you may have.*

I understand that Lumine will do everything they can to protect my clothing, but Lumine is not responsible for damage to clothing that may occur during my hair service.*

Service Adjustments: If you would like an adjustment to your service after you leave lumine, you have 7 days to notify Lumine, and 10 days from your original appointment to make an adjustment. Adjustments may only be with the same stylist and additional service charges may apply depending on the adjustment. If you choose to see a different stylist, treat your hair yourself, or visit another stylist or salon, or if it is after 7 days from the initial service, full service charges will apply for an adjustment. No refunds will be given on services.*

I understand that I cannot bring additional guests who are not receiving services at Lumine during my appointment.*

I understand that per new recommendations by the CDC and KCMO local government, all staff and clients (regardless of vaccination status) will be required to wear a mask during their time in the salon. If need a mask and do not have one, a disposable mask will be provided to me by a Lumine staff member upon request. I will also be provided a clean and sanitized cape.

Personal items will be limited to a tablet/laptop/book/kindle and a jacket/coat as necessary. You may bring one purse/bag as long as you are comfortable hanging it on the stylist's station. Currently, we ARE NOT accepting CASH or CHECKS as payment.*

I will not be allowed to bring food into the salon. Beverage service in salon will be limited to water. If I bring my own beverage I agree to dispose of it properly or take it with me.*

I, or anyone I have been in contact with in the past 14 days, have NOT tested positive for Covid-19. I, as well as anyone in my home, do NOT show covid-19 like symptoms such as fever, loss of smell, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, headaches, sore throat, runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.*

In consideration for providing haircuts and hair color, by clicking I AGREE below you agree to accept all responsibility for the risk that you may contract COVID-19. While we are taking your safety and that of our staff very serious, by employing new safety and sanitation initiatives, we cannot guarantee that any of these measures will completely protect you from contracting COVID-19.*

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration for providing haircuts and hair coloring services, I agree that should I contract COVID-19, I agree to indemnify and hold Lumine Salon, its officers, agents, servants, employees, and landowners and their successors and assigns harmless from any and all claims for damages should I contract COVID-19 from my receiving ALL services at Lumine Salon.*

I further agree that I will not file, nor cause to be filed, nor participate in any lawsuit against Lumine Salon, its agents, servants, employees and any other person who may be in any way connected with ALL services at Lumine Salon, including but not limited to, owners of Lumine Salon, the staff with whom I am receiving services, their employees, and agents for injuries and/or death as a result of contracting COVID-19.*

I agree that if I take any steps to make a claim for damages against Lumine Salon, its agents, employees or any other released parties arising out of my receipt of ALL services during my visit to Lumine Salon facilities, I shall be obligated to pay all attorneys’ fees and costs incurred as a result of such claim. **

I acknowledge that I can go elsewhere to have my hair cut and colored, and I acknowledge that Lumine Salon is not the only hair salon where I can have my hair cut and colored. By signing this Agreement, I acknowledge that I am free to go to other salons who may not require my agreement to accept responsibility for contracting COVID-19 and I chose to have haircut and color services done at Lumine Salon.*
