PLEASE SUPPORT BOXER RESCUE of VT: We are a small rural rescue saving Boxers and other destitute dogs from the deep south to the Canadian border. The only way we can operate is through generous donations from Boxer Loving folks like yourself. Your gift today means the difference between life and death for a shelter dog at risk of euthanasia. These dogs need Rescue and with your donation, Together we can save them and get them the help they need and find them good homes. Every Day we get 100's of dogs at risk in our email daily begging for us to save them, We want to do more, but all our Spring & summer 2020 in person fundraisers were cancelled due to Covid 19 health and safety measures put in place by Governor Scott. These Warm Weather events are how this rescue normally raises the majority of the funds needed to keep saving lives…When you donate to Boxer Rescue of VT the dogs are 100% recipients. We are volunteers here, working regular full time jobs to support our families, and sacrificing daily for the paycheck of doggie kisses, happy dancing wiggle butts, "Glad to see you got my food drool" etc.. lol.. Our application is Designed with One Purpose; To Protect the Companion Animal that Has Come into Our Care. Most of these dogs have had enough hurt, abandonment and anxiety to last a lifetime, so to that end, we have adoption procedures in place to protect them going forward.

We are committed to helping our dogs find the pet parents that are best suited to meet each one’s individual needs. After we rescue a dog from the south, Our dogs are vetted and transported to Vermont where they all live with volunteer foster pet parents while they heal from medical and past life issues... So we get to know each dogs individual needs, energy level, strengths, weaknesses and care requirements, However, since we don’t know you or your household members we use this adoption application as one of our tools to help determine “match” suitability.

Once your submitted application is verified and deemed potentially a good fit for dog applied for, a home visit will be set up with a volunteer - everyone should be home for this so we can meet all your household members and existing pets. Upon a successful home visit the next step would be doggy meet and greet/potential adoption appointment appointment will be setup for you, your family, and all your existing Pets in Southern VT.

* To be considered every Adoption Application must be accompanied by proof pets allowed where you live (lease / pet policy/ hoa, or proof of homeownership).

We are not affiliated with HSUS or SPCA and are funded completely by donations and adoption fees, We are a 100% volunteer organization and thus we request you donate whatever amount you can when submitting an application, This gift will be used to help us pay the cost of our online form service and website; you will find a appication submission donation link and button to upload proof pets allowed PDF below.

Note: Applications filled out with responses that are misleading, untrue, or with deliberate omission will be rejected and any adoption agreement will be immediately and automatically annulled, and as such adopted dog will be seized and reclaimed by rescue. All dogs up for adoption have already been quarantined, fully vetted (ie: spayed/ neutered/ Microchip/vaccinated/ tested/ treated for all known conditions) and are being fostered in VT; therefore if you successfully go through our screening process and are approved to meet dog/ potentially adopt then we require you and your entire household (people and dogs) travel to southern VT to Meet dog by appointment, how soon could you all make the trip to meet and or adopt dog? Warning: In applying Do NOT submit misrepresentations, omissions, or false information, When discovered if dog is adopted as a result, by law adoption is autolmatically annulled, and accordingly we sieze/reclaim dog and legal charges may also result.
ALL dogs adopted from BRVT will be spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption unless otherwise mentioned.

If approved to adopt BRVT will provide me with pet's vaccination records, rabies certificate, Microchip tag, Rescue ID tag, helpful reading material, starter food, and pet feeding and care instructions.

I certify that the information I have provided herein is fully accurate and I hereby authorize Boxer Rescue of VT to investigate all statements and claims made by me and on this questionnaire.  I agree to a home visit by rescue representative both prior to and post adoption to followup on this dogs welfare.

I further understand that Boxer Rescue of VT makes no representation or guarantee about any animal's temperament, behavior, health, age, history, suitablity or any combination thereof.  I agree to Release and hold harmless Boxer Rescue of VT and agree they will not be held liable for any future loss, injury or damage, which may be caused by any adopted animal, nor is Boxer Rescue of VT responsible for any of adopted pet’s illness, injury, or medical malady, subsequent to adoption.

If I am approved to adopt a dog, I understand adoption can not be fnalized unless I and the BRVT representive sign the adoption contract and I make full payment of adoption donation in cash at the time of adoption.

Please note, applications sent without proof pets permitted where you live will not be considered.

Home-Owners please submit copy of most recent property tax bill, city sewer or water bill or the cover page of current home owners insurance.

Renters must submit lease/pet contract.

We do not want our dogs smuggled in where they are not permitted and face eviction with adopter when owner finds out!

SUPPORT BOXER RESCUE of VT: We are a small rural group saving Boxers and other destitute dogs from the deep south all the way up to the Canadian border. The only way we can operate is through generous donations from Boxer Loving folks like yourself. Your gift may mean the difference between life and death for a shelter dog at risk of euthanasia. Due to coronavirus, all the shelters all over are closed to the public, if you wanted to adopt a dog from a shelter or claim your lost pet, you can't even get inside, But with your help, Together we can save them and get them the help they need and find them good homes.

Every Day we get 100's of dogs at risk in our email daily begging for us to save them, We want to do more, but all our Spring & summer 2020 in person fundraisers were cancelled due to Covid 19 health and safety measures put in place by Governor Scott. These Warm Weather events are how this rescue normally raises the majority of the funds needed to keep saving lives…

Please give, the rescue dogs are 100% recipients of any donation given. We are all volunteers, working full time jobs and sacrificing daily for the paycheck of doggie kisses, happy dancing wiggle butts, "Glad to see you got my food drool" etc.. lol..
