PROJECT PROPOSAL

Please attach a project proposal that includes the following items as a single PDF

1. A cover sheet that includes your name, university affiliation, address, phone number, email address and SASS member number.

2. A curriculum vitae of no more than three pages.

3. A complete set of graduate and undergraduate transcripts.

4. A description, no more than 1,000 words, of your project. Explain your need to work in Scandinavia (the Nordic region), and the methodology, feasibility, and significance of your proposed dissertation.

5. A one-and-a-half to two-page bibliography illustrative of the classic—as well as the most current—sources relevant to your project.

6. A budget concerning the Haugen funds.

7. References: Please include the name, place of employment, email address, and phone number of two scholars who are familiar with your work, at least one of whom should be from your university. References may be contacted to assess the viability and significance of the proposed project.
