Changes that do not require pre-approval must be reported within 30 days of implementation.

Reminder: programs do not need to report every hire or change in faculty. Only report faculty changes that impact meeting Standards 9e or Standard 9c (change in program director).

Only report a change if the veterinary technician designated to meet Standard 9e departs or changes.

Only report a change in DVM/VMD if the veterinarian(s) designated to meet Standard 9e departs or changes.

Regular faculty changes that occur that do not cause the program to be in non-compliance with Standard 9e only need to be reported on the program's next regular progress report.

Changes in college president, dean, or upper administration no longer require reporting with an SCR.

Should the educational program of an institution be disrupted for more than two weeks (for example, closure due to a natural disaster, hurricane, infectious disease, tornado, fire, flooding, etc.), the program must report in writing to the CVTEA the cause of the disruption and remedies to minimize or to provide an alternative educational opportunity for students in response to the disruption. Describe the program's disaster response plan below. Include a timeframe for how long the disruption will be in effect.

Changes requiring pre-approval must be received no later than 30 days prior to the next meeting of the CVTEA. Failure to meet any reporting requirement may result in a change in accreditation status.

Following submission of a Substantive Change Report, the Committee may request completion of a Substantive Change Instrument in the CVTEA Accreditation Portal by Armature.

Changes requiring pre-approval will result in a request to complete a Substantive Change Instrument in Armature.
