  • To be clear, the "Scheduled Appointment" selected above, is not scheduling an appointment for you through our website. It is merely providing us with your appointment time, increasing our ability to efficiently serve you when you come in for your appointment.

    All appointments must be scheduled and confirmed directly with Pierced Hearts by phone (206-729-0200) before this form is submitted.

  • Washington State is a full disclosure state and you are not legally obligated to inform the piercer of the following information. However, if the piercer is not fully informed in such matters they may not be able to give you the complete care you deserve and could lead to possible complications.

  • We may decline performing this service if we feel it is unsafe to do so, due to a client not having eaten within 4 hours prior to their appointment for a new piercing. We almost certainly will decline if the client hasn't eaten at all the day of their appointment.

  • Jewelry Sales Policy

  •  All jewelry sales are final. For the health and safety of everyone, once jewelry is purchased and leaves the shop, we cannot take it back. 

     Some of our jewelry companies do have limited warranties and repair policies for defects, however there is no coverage for loss of jewelry, in part or whole, or threadless pins/threading breaking off. All body jewelry can fall out for a variety of circumstances, and a complete loss is not covered, regardless of how long you are in possession of the jewelry. Our piercers will install the jewelry safely and securely, but if it is lost, we are not under any obligation to replace it free of charge.

    We encourage you to check your jewelry regularly to ensure that it is secure. During routine cleanings and/or showering is a good time to do this.

    Each company has different policies, but if you notice a piece has lost a stone/gem from a setting or has some other slight defect, please contact us and we will see if the specific maker has a policy that covers your your issue.

     

    Jewelry That Was Purchased Elsewhere:

     For new piercings, we will only pierce with jewelry that meets the guidelines of the Association of Professional Piercers, and it must have been purchased at an APP certified studio. If we cannot verify the jewelry meets this standard, we will not use it for an initial piercing. These guidelines, taken from the APP website safepiercing.org  are listed below:

     

    •  Steel : Must be ASTM F-138 compliant or ISO 5832-1 compliant; ISO 10993-(6,10, or 11) compliant; or (EEC [European] Nickel Directive compliant.

     

    • Titanium/Niobium:  Implant certified metals (Ti6Al4V ELI) that is ASTM F-136 compliant, ASTM F1295, ISO 5832-3 compliant, or commercially pure titanium that is ASTM F-67 compliant.

     

    • Gold (yellow , rose, or white) is appropriate for initial piercings if it is 14k or 18K, nickel- and cadmium-free, and alloyed for biocompatibility. Gold higher than 18k is too soft for body jewelry because it can easily be scratched or nicked. Gold plated, gold-filled, or gold overlay/vermeil jewelry is not acceptable for fresh piercings. All of these involve coating a base metal with a layer of gold. The gold surface (which is very thin—measured in millionths of an inch) can wear or chip off.

     

    • For healed piercings, the same above standards apply for jewelry installation. If your jewelry is certified to be any of the above metals and purchased at any acredited APP studio, we will be happy to install it for you. 

    We are unable to install jewelry that is purchased through Amazon, Etsy or other internet stores, or jewelry purchased anywhere other than an APP certified piercing studio or anything that we cannot verify to meet the above standards.
