We are excited to debut our new t-shirt design for Make Music Black Hills 2020!
Local artist, David Horan, graciously created our theme for this year. We are incredibly grateful for his generosity!
The Tatanka — bison — are held in high regard by the Lakota people. The bison is a symbol of self-sacrifice. To be generous and give what you have to others in need, or to honor them, is one of the most highly respected ways of behaving.
If you possess the traits of the bison spirit animal, you don’t back away from a good challenge.
The bison symbolism says a lot about what kind of person you are, as well as your willingness to meet challenges head-on.
Your bison totem teaches you that genuine prosperity comes when you are genuinely grateful for what you have in your life. It happens when you live in love and harmony with everyone.
It signifies gratitude and being aware of your part in spreading abundance wherever you go. Just stay true to who you are and what you’re supposed to do, and you’ll never go wrong!
With so many concerts, year-end recitals, and summer music programs canceled this year, we feel a renewed mission to keep music alive and communities connected.
Make Music Black Hills is an opportunity for cities to connect, to celebrate music, and bring the joy of the Arts to everyone! Further demonstrating the power of music to unite and uplift people, spread joy, and build community amid this challenging and unprecedented time!
The proceeds from the sale of our 2020 Make Music Black Hills t-shirts and prints will benefit our Artists Relief Fund.
With your support, we can continue to connect our community with opportunities for fantastic art and cultural events!
Thank you!
