BFF Book Club and Our Own Book Club are online services used to help manage the tasks of organizing a book club. Before using these services, we want to make you aware of federal regulations that apply to operators of websites that require parental consent when children under the age of 13 are using these services.
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) protects the online privacy of children under the age of 13 and requires web-based service providers to obtain parental consent prior to the collection of a child's personal information. Due to COPPA’s requirements, we require that parents set up an account on behalf of a child under the age of 13 and allow the child access and use of the account.
