Private training lessons are personalized to help you and your dog reach your training goals. From basic obedience skills, to challenging behavior problems, we can provide you with a plan to guide you and your dog to success. What to Expect

During the initial behavior consultation, you will meet with our trainer at IHS’s Dorman Campus. In this 90 minute session our trainer will gather history about your dog and living situation, evaluate your dog’s behavior and work with you to make a plan to reach your training goals. Our trainer will then demonstrate the training process for you, and coach you on how to implement the skills in real life scenarios. You will leave this lesson with short-term solutions to implement immediately and/or recommendations for further training. A detailed training plan will be sent to you within 1 week of your consultation. If your dog shows aggression towards people, the first 30 minutes of the consultation may be done remotely, or without your dog present. Private lessons are available after an initial consultation and behavior plan has been formed. You may purchase a single private lesson, or a package of lessons at our trainer’s recommendation.
Scheduling

Consultation appointments must be scheduled with 48 hours’ notice, and payment reserves your appointment time. Lessons expire 6 months after the purchase date. Due to our large number of students, we do not provide make-up lessons or refunds for cancelled appointments, so please be mindful when picking your appointment time. We appreciate your cooperation with and understanding of our policy, and your respect for fellow students.

These recordings will be used to aid in the training process and to gain further understanding of the dog’s behavior. In some cases, recordings may be edited and used for marketing purposes.
