1. Introduction
1.1 Objective
The objective of this performance/ Factory Acceptance Test procedure (FAT) is to:
- Verify that the equipment/system is in conformity with the Purchase Order Specification of Internal Communication Equipment Technical Agreement document .
- Verify that the system setup is in accordance to the technical drawing submitted.
- Record test results for future reference.
1.2 Test Activites
The activities to be performed during the FAT are as follows:
- To visually inspect the equipment / system.
- To ensure that the system is performing the function required. If possible, to perform a simulation of the function.
- To ensure that the equipment / system is able to power up and is according to the Purchase Order Specification of Internal Communication Equipment Technical Agreement document .
1.3 Test Procedure Specification
In essence, the FAT procedure comprises of three sections:
- A list of test equipment and documentation required to verify the performance of the system.
- A test procedure specifying the tests, which will be applied to the system.
- A test sheet is to be completed in the presence of representative.
- These are to be witnessed by the representatives and used as a contractual verification of the customer acceptance.
- Deficiency / Discrepancy Sheets for the complete FAT programme will be completed in accordance with the test achieved.
