  • Home Hacker Camp - Our Robotics & Programming courses, gets kids excited about science & technology trough fun, innovative hands-on projects. Home Hackers build, program and interact with their very own robot that they get to keep. The kids work with hardware & software, which is critical to understanding how computerized devices work. In our Level 3 courses kids dig deeper into components, soldering and text based programming. Technology is advancing at a rapid pace. Help your kids learn how devices are made and work. Check out the video that shows some of the activities we do at our in person. We do the exact same activities in our online classes!  The courses build knowledge & confidence in a non intimidating learning environment.

    LVL 1: ROBOTICS & PROGRAMMING ONLINE COURSE. In the Level 1 Robotics & Programming Course students build robots and use the computer programming language Scratch to “train” the robot to perform specific tasks (like chase your cat or dog) and complete challenges.  We learn about programming logic, loops, conditional statements & more.  Students work with visual programming & get an introduction to text based programming.  Students learn how to troubleshoot & upload programs to their robots. Students keep their robots & have the skills necessary to work on them beyond class. *No Prerequisites. *Includes Course & Robot to keep.Includes the Robotics & Programming Online Course + Robot to Keep. Parent participation is recommended for students under 5th grade in the self paced session.

    LVL 2: ROBOTICS & PROGRAMMING ONLINE COURSE. In the Level 2 Robotics & Programming Course students take their programming skills to the next level. We program the robots to use advanced sensor technology to avoid obstacles and follow specific programming rules. Students get an introduction to binary as well as Arduino Code.  *Prerequisite: HHC Level 1 *Reuses robot from Lvl 1Select desired option:



    LVL 3: ROBOTICS & PROGRAMMING ONLINE COURSE . In the Level 3 Robotics & Programming Course students learn more about hardware and system components through soldering projects. Students also learn about controlling their robots through Arduino code and learn some basic Python programming skills. *Prerequisite: HHC Level 1, 2 *Reuses robot from Lvl 1 *Hardware Components for projects included. *Soldering Iron, flux, tin, third hand not included.



    Summer Mini Course - Intro to Game Programming. In this introductory course students learn the basics of game design while programming a fun computer games using Scratch, a visual programming language. *Prerequisite: Basic Computer Skills



    Summer Mini Course - Intro to Computing. In this introductory course students learn the fundamentals of using a computer including topics such as: memory vs storage, file system structure, file search tips & tricks, key hardware components, OS differences, copying/moving files, file extensions, web apps vs local apps (pros & cons), intro to AI tools. *Prerequisite: Basic Computer Skills



    Summer Mini Course - Intro to Website Development. Learn how to build a basic business website using Wordpress (free version). Topics Include: layout templates/tools, hierarchy, page components, intro to form design, incorporating images & video, and a brief intro to AI web tools, etc.



    Summer Mini Course - Intro to 2D Computer Animation - Level 1. Students will learn the fundamentals of digital hand-drawn animation including 5 key principles: timing, Squash/Stretch, Follow through, Slow In/Slow Out, Arc. Students will animate a simple digital character. Mobile device required.



    Summer Mini Course - Intro to Spreadsheets. Learn how to build a basic business website using Wordpress (free version). Topics Include: layout templates/tools, hierarchy, page components, intro to form design, incorporating images & video, and a brief intro to AI web tools, etc.
