Live Ideas: Undergraduate Primary Texts Journal
2021 Summer Institute Application
The Primary Texts Program and Live Ideas Undergraduate Journal will be hosting our first institute of the summer from June 23-June 29. Our second will be on July 14-20. The July Institute is only for social science essays and fiction related to the social sciences. If your application is accepted and you attend the full duration of each session via Zoom from 7-8:30 P.M. you will receive a $250 scholarship in recognition of your participation. Sessions are mainly peer-to-peer discussion of ongoing ideas and projects with an aim to publishing them in Live Ideas Undergraduate Journal. Schedule: Wednesday-Thursday (Sessions); Friday-Sunday (Independent work days); Monday-Tuesday (Sessions).

If you already have a primary text of yours or an idea you want to refine, please pitch it to us in 250 words. Sharing a portion of the primary text within the 250 word limit is also welcomed. If you are trying to brainstorm an idea during the institute, then please share in 250 words work(s) you have already completed. Please ensure submissions are formatted in Microsoft Word.
