Closing Committee

Responsibilities

(Per Semester)

Closing Committee-3 People per week required
- 3 people per week required to stay until 1:30 p.m. to lock up building
- Make sure all classrooms are cleaned up from our lunchtime.
- Tearoom Clean Up:
  - Pour out old coffee
  - Clean dirty cups and dishes in the basement kitchen, put in CUBS strainer
  - Put creamer, sugar, tea, and any other supplies in cupboard in the tearoom
  - Dispose of any left-over food unless prepackaged and can be saved for another time.
  - Clean and wipe off all tables in the tearoom
- Change all garbage in classrooms throw away in dumpster in back of church
- Turn off gym lights and fan
- Turn off all lights in classrooms
- Make sure all windows are shut
- Put away all classroom signs, free table sign and collect all name badges, and put in our supply room.
- Free table put in the place it was taken from
- Put anything left neatly in our supply room for the following week
- Wipe any dirty dry erase boards in rooms
- Check the bathrooms and walk through the church to make sure everyone a part of the Enrichment Semester is out of the building.
- Turn off all lights and make sure the door is locked after exiting.

Membership & Enrichment Class Waiver & Guidelines
By signing you and your child/children's name below, you agree to the policies written in this packet.
Illness Policy

RELEASE & HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

Please read this form carefully and be aware that in signing up and participating in Enrichment Classes, you will be waiving and releasing all claims for injuries and/or possible contraction of Covid-19 or other illnesses that might be sustained from participating in these classes.
- As a participant in Enrichment Classes, I recognize and accept that there are certain risks of physical injury and I agree to assume full risk of any injuries, damages or loss which may be sustained as a result of participating in all activities with or associated with Enrichment Classes.
- I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I have as a result of participating in the classes against Bethel Community Church and the C.U.B.S. homeschool group and their officers, agents, servants and employees.
- I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Bethel Community Church and the C.U.B.S. homeschool group and their officers, agents, servants, and employees from all claims resulting in injuries, damages and losses sustained with the activities of the Enrichment Classes.
- If me or my child/children experience any symptoms such as fever, vomiting, or any other symptoms associated with Covid-19 or general sickness, I and/or my child/children will stay home.
- I will also follow CDC guidelines for any other infectious illnesses such as eye infections, chicken pox, etc. before returning to Enrichment Classes.
Each child attending must have a signed Enrichment Class Waiver on file by the first class.

During this time we will be doing the following:
- Going over our policy packet
- Meeting the Leadership Team
- Enjoying great fellowship getting to know each other and meeting the new families
- Getting a tour of the building.
If you are new or were not able to attend this past fall, please come! The Leadership Team will be providing a delicious spread of food for you wonderful moms. This is a time for moms to also get a little break and connect with other moms.

Hand Art
We are going to step into the world of traditional craftsmanship! This hands-on course will introduce your child to three distinct artistic mediums: pyrography (wood burning), copper embossing, and leathercraft. We will start by mastering the safety and technique of thermal pens to "paint" with fire on wood. Next, we’ll transition to the tactile world of metal, using specialized tools to create 3D relief art on copper sheets. Finally, your child will learn the fundamentals of leatherwork, including stamping, tooling, and finishing. By the end of the term, each child will have a portfolio of custom-made, functional art pieces.
