Alle Teilnehmenden erhalten nach ihrer Registrierung am 19.07.2020 den Link zum Meetingraum des Vortrags via Email zugeschickt. Bitte beachte, dass der Vortrag in englischer Sprache gehalten wird. Du kannst während des Vortrags Fragen in den dafür vorgesehen Chatroom schreiben oder im anschließenden Q/A Deine Fragen an Dr. Joann Halpern stellen.

Vita Dr. Joann Halpern
Dr. Joann Halpern ist Leiterin des Hasso Plattner Institut New York sowie Honorarprofessorin im Department of Applied Statistics, Social Science, and Humanities an der New York University. Neben zahlreichen Lehr- und Administrationsaufträgen an Universitäten in den Vereinigten Staaten und Deutschland, ist Dr. Joann Halpern auch Gründungsdirektorin des Deutschen Zentrums für Forschung und Innovation (GCRI).
Dr. Halpern erhielt ihren B.A. vom Dartmouth College, ihren M.A. von der Harvard University und ihren Ph.D. von der New York University. Sie erhielt den Harvard University Award for Distinction in Teaching sowie Stipendien der Fulbright-Kommission, des DAAD, der Robert Bosch Stiftung und der National Endowment for the Humanities.

You are hereby registering for the KölnAlumni WELTWEIT DigiTalk on 20 July 2020 at 5 pm (CET) on the topic "Building Your International Career" with guest speaker Dr. Joann Halpern.
The talk will be hosted by Christiane Biehl, Head of Department 93 "International Mobility" at the University of Cologne, and will take place via the platform Zoom. All participants will receive the link to the lecture's meeting room via email after their registration on 19 July 2020. Please note that the lecture will be held in English. You can ask questions in the designated chatroom during the presentation or ask Dr. Joann Halpern in the Q/A afterwards.
Dr. Joann Halpern's DigiTalk and her presentation will be recorded and subsequently published on the KölnAlumni WELTWEIT website. As a participant you do not need to worry about your anonymity.
Vita Dr. Joann Halpern
Dr. Joann Halpern is the director of the Hasso Plattner Institute, New York and an adjunct professor in the Department of Applied Statistics, Social Science and Humanities at New York University. In addition to teaching and administrative assignments at universities in the United States and Germany, Dr. Joann Halpern was the founding director of the German Center for Research and Innovation (GCRI).
Dr. Halpern received her B.A. from Dartmouth College, her M.A. from Harvard University and her Ph.D. from New York University. She received the Harvard University Award for Distinction in Teaching as well as scholarships from the Fulbright Commission, the DAAD, the Robert Bosch Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
