  • As a volunteer with the Piedra Viva Tutor Program, I agree to these responsibilities:

    1. Schedule and keep individual tutoring sessions with students assigned to me. (If student does not attend the agreed upon day and time of the tutoring session, contact the Program Coordinator, who will reach out to the family.)
    2. If I am unable to keep a scheduled appointment, make other arrangements with my scheduled student as soon as possible.
    3. Prepare lesson materials prior to lessons and structure lessons in such a way as to optimize the time to the benefit of the student.
    4. Work with Program Coordinator, regarding any obstacles I am and/or the student is having which hamper the effectiveness of the tutoring.
    5. Complete evaluations regarding the student's progress and the overall program.
    6. Assure that lesson topics align with the purpose of the tutor program and mission of Piedra Viva and are appropriate for the age of the student.
