Trash Can Enclosures addition/change requirements are:

Roll out trash and recycle containers not stored inside the homeowner’s garage can be stored in approved enclosures meeting the requirements described in this section.
12.10.1 Springfield (non-Golf Villas) Roll Out Trash Can Enclosure Option
Location: Front panel to be located ten (10) feet from the front corner of the house.
Dimensions:
Normal length – 6 - 8 feet
Width – 36 inches
Finished height of panels should be 56 inches from ground.
Design and Materials:
- No free-standing panels permitted.
- Enclosure must be three-sided and must enclose roll out containers on all sides.
- Requires gate for access. You may have a single gate on the end or a double gate on the side. (Side gate allowed if there is ample room between enclosure and the side property line.)
- Fence posts and fencing are to be wood or hardie plank and painted to match the house. Posts must be permanently anchored in the ground.
- Fence panels should be ‘board on board’ design so that the cans may not be seen from any angle.
- A shrub on the outside corner of the garage may be used for additional screening.
Golf Villa Roll Out Trash Can Enclosure Options
Location:
- Front garage unit: Front panel to be located ten (10) feet from the front corner of the house (garage).
- Rear garage unit (Alleyway option): Front panel located ten (10) feet from the rear corner of the garage or at rear of garage as shown in Figure 12.10.2.2 if side option is not possible.

Submittal requirements for a Trash Can Enclosure are as follows:
- SC stamped lot survey indicating the location of trash can enclosure with dimensions to side boundary and front corner of the house.
- Samples (description & pictures) of materials and colors used.
- Photos of the area showing existing conditions and views from the neighbor lot, and street or alleyway.
