(Architectural and Landscape Guidelines Section 4.16, Page 23; Section 12.2, Page 45)
Exterior lighting is generally approved as part of the building plans. Exterior lighting must be limited to areas within the building envelope, must not result in excessive glare or interfere with the privacy of nearby lots.
Landscape lighting systems shall be designed to enhance the architecture of the house and landscape improvements on the lot in a tasteful and subtle manner. Overlighting the house and/or landscaping shall be avoided.
Landscape lighting shall be confined to the owner’s lot only and direct illumination from such lighting shall not encroach onto any other lot, the Golf Course or any other location beyond the boundaries of the lot.
Submittal requirements for Exterior/Landscape Lighting are as follows:
- SC stamped lot survey showing location, type and illumination direction of lighting to be installed showing dimensions to lot boundaries.
- Catalog photographs or manufacturer cut sheets of the items.
- Photographs of existing conditions showing property and views from neighboring lots.
Please note a walkthrough by the Architectural Change Committee may be necessary for this project. A representative from the management company will reach out to you if this is required.
