It is the policy of Solid Ground Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy Center (Solid Ground EAATC) that Board and Committee Members of Solid Ground EAATC will not disclose confidential information belonging to, or obtained through their affiliation with, Solid Ground EAATC to any person or entity. This policy is not intended to prevent disclosure that is required by law.
Confidentiality is the preservation of privileged information. Board Members and other volunteers are cautioned to demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and care at all times in handling any information related to Solid Ground EAATC to avoid unauthorized or improper disclosures of confidential information.
I hereby acknowledge that as a Board and/or Committee Member for Solid Ground EAATC, I shall have access to confidential information concerning Solid Ground EAATC, including but not limited to board discussions and initiatives; information on Solid Ground EAATC clients, employees, donors, contracts, investments, and vendors; and legal, financial, and other proprietary information about the organization.
I agree that I will not at any time - during my tenure on the Board or committee and in the years following that tenure - divulge any such confidential information, nor transfer any such confidential information to any third party. I agree I will not use any such confidential information for my own purpose or for any purpose other than in connection with my authorized role as a Board or Committee Member of Solid Ground EAATC, unless such disclosure shall have been approved in advance by Solid Ground EAATC Executive Director or Board Approval.
I agree that upon completion of my participation as a Board or Committee Member of Solid Ground EAATC that I will return to Solid Ground EAATC all confidential information on the organization in my possession or under my control. I have read Solid Ground EAATC’s complete Statement of Confidentiality presented above. I agree to abide by the requirements of the policy and this statement.
