  • QuaySwim – SENIOR - Rules & Waiver 2020

    We are committed to providing a safe & enjoyable experience here at QuaySwim. To assist us with this, all swimmers agree to swim entirely at their own risk and in the unlikely event of injury, accident, loss or damage suffered, no responsibility shall be attached to the organisers, sponsors, or any person involved in the organisation of QuaySwim at Mytchett Lake.

    Swimming will always be at the discretion of QuaySwim staff and may include an assessment of ability.

     

    The undersigned agrees to the following rules & conditions of swimming at QuaySwim, Mytchett Lake .

    • I agree to swim at my own risk and I understand the dangers associated with swimming in open water, with the potential for serious personal injury, illness and damage to or loss of property.
    • I waive, release & discharge QuaySwim, their organisers and other personnel, and will not make any claim against them.
    • I certify that I am physically fit and have no pre-existing medical conditions that would affect me swimming in open water.
    • I will not swim if I am feeling unwell or am under the influence of alcohol or drugs and if I become unwell during a session I will inform QuaySwim personnel immediately.
    • I agree to follow all rules and instructions from QuaySwim organisers and safety personnel.
    • I will not enter the water until I have signed in, paid the swim fee & been advised by the organisers that I may do so.
    • I will enter or exit the water within the times stipulated by the organisers and/or when advised by the organisers/safety personnel.
    • I understand that the decision to cancel or postpone swimming with regard to water temperature, visibility, weather conditions or other related matters rests with QuaySwim.
    • I understand that the decision to allow non-wetsuit swimming rests with QuaySwim. If I choose to swim without a wetsuit I will advise the organisers.
    • I understand that novice open water swimmers may be required to wear an inflatable tow float for added visibility, at the discretion of the safety staff.
    • I will wear a bright coloured swim hat.
    • I agree to provide emergency contact details and details of any relevant medical issues below and understand that this information is kept securely for my own safety. 
  • I have read and understood the rules & conditions above & certify that the information given below is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that this information is held by QuaySwim for use in the event of an emergency/medical situation and that the information will not be passed to any third parties except in those circumstances.
