OUTLine is looking for dedicated members of our community to serve as members of our governance Board.
Our Board members:
Help set and guide the strategic direction of OUTLine, and the work of the General Manager.
Ensure the organisation is governed well, to meet its legal and financial obligations.
Attend monthly Board meetings either in person or by video (e.g. Zoom).
Give input in meetings or by email.
OUTLine's Board is elected at our Annual General Meeting, normally for a term of two years. This year, we are changing to a two-year Board term, and at next year's AGM only half of the Board will be re-elected. That means that this year, some Board members will be elected for a half term (one year) and the remainder for a full term (two years). If you are nominating yourself or someone else, you can choose whether you are interested in serving a full or half term, or whether you would be open to either term length.
Call for nominations
In accordance with the terms of the OUTLine New Zealand Incorporated constitution (view here), the Secretary of OUTLine calls for nominations to the positions of Chairperson and Board Member for the organisation, to be voted on by the membership at the upcoming AGM, 6-8pm 24th June 2020.
From section 5 (d) of the consititution:
Nominations in writing for the office of Co-Chairperson and Board Member must be given to the Secretary seven days prior to the Annual General Meeting and each nomination must be signed by two full Members and accepted in writing by the nominee. If no written nominations shall be received the Annual General Meeting may elect the Co-Chairpersons and board members from those present
Nominations will close at 6pm on Wednesday, 17th June.
Our preference is that all nominations are received through this form. Nominations may be received on paper either by handing them in person to the Secretary of OUTLine (Victoria Trow), or by posting them to OUTLine at
PO Box 147663
All applications must be received by the organisation prior to 6pm, Wednesday 17th June.
