EMS West PHRN Module 1 is an approximately 5 hour course that reviews the application and exam processes, the assessment and management of patients encountered in the prehospital setting, splinting and immobilization, bleeding control, cardiac arrest management with an AED and oxygen/BVM administration. Students will practice with equipment.
EMS West PHRN Module 2 is a 7 hour course reviewing advanced airway management, trauma patient management, cardiac rhythm review, and EMS/disaster operations. Students will practice with equipment.
EMS West PHRN Module 3 is the NREMT cognitive exam prep, including a practice exam, the format of the exam, computer adaptive testing, test center locations and logistics.
EMS West PHRN Module 4 is a review of cardiac dysrhythmias and the treatment of cardiac emergencies in the prehospital setting. A review of 12-lead ECG interpretation with an emphasis on STEMI identification is provided.
