  • The Center for Teacher Education will provide free loan for the textbook(s) selected below on a first-come, first-serve basis as textbooks are available. The Spring semester return date is Monday, June 8th, 2026. Prior to the due date, an email will be sent notifying you of available return dates, times, and procedures. Please regularly check the email address you list in this form to ensure you remain updated about our Book Loan Program.

  • Which textbook(s) are you requesting to borrow?

    Limited quantity available.  Textbooks will be distributed based on the order of form responses.  Students may request textbooks for up to 3 courses.

    Please double-check your textbook information through the Don Bookstore, your class syllabus, or your Canvas course prior to making your selection.

  • Eligibility Requirements

    Please initial next to each statement below to verify you have met all eligibility requirements (unless waived). If you have not yet completed these requirements, please connect with Center for Teacher Education prior to submitting this form to sign up.

    Only those students who have met all eligibility requirements (unless waived) will be allowed to participate in the CFTE Book Loan Program.

  • * I am signed up to receive emails from Center for Teacher Education.

    * I attended a Teacher Education Information Session in a previous semester OR passed CNSL-114/CDEV-114 Careers in Teaching course OR passed CNSL-305: Orientation to College (with Professor Steve Bautista). If not, I will sign up for the next available date.

    * I had a counseling appointment in Center for Teacher Education within this past year and have an updated comprehensive education plan on Self-Service. If not, I will contact Center for Teacher Education to make an appointment.

  • Book Loan Policy

    We recently updated our policy. Please read this policy in its entirety and sign below to acknowledge your agreement.

    By checking out textbook(s) through the Center for Teacher Education Book Loan Program, I understand that:

    • The textbook I am requesting must be for a Santa Ana College course that I am currently enrolled in and I must provide proof of enrollment at pick-up.
    • I must abide by all eligibility requirements for the Book Loan Program, including completing any pending/in-progress requirements by the end of the term.
    • I must return the textbook by the last day of instruction for the term that I checked it out.
    • If the textbook is returned late:
      • 1 week after the due date, then a hold may be placed on my academic records.
      • 2 weeks after the due date, then I may be charged a $20 late fee in the form of Don Bookstore gift card.
      • 1 month or more after the due date, then I may be charged the full retail price of the textbook as determined by the Center for Teacher Education.
    • If the textbook is lost, stolen, or severely damaged, then I may be charged the full retail price of the textbook as determined by the Center for Teacher Education.
    • If I decide to withdraw from the class (either officially or unofficially), I must return the book to the Center for Teacher Education immediately.
    • If I would like to re-borrow the book for the next term, I must first return the book to the Center for Teacher Education and complete the check-out procedures again.
    • If I fail to comply with the above guidelines, I can lose my privilege of borrowing books in the future.
